Today we bring you glimpses of how the world was before modernization came around.
#1 The Grand central at New York City used to be covered beautifully in sun rays which has now been blocked by several other new buildings.
#2 The original Neue Elbbrücke bridge in Hamburg, Germany with its imposing towers before it was destroyed to widen the bridge in 1959.
#3 One of the oldest houses which used to be situated at Hamburg was built in 1504 and destroyed in 1910.
#4 Another magnificent building whose originality got lost to modernization.
#5 The 6th century Buddhas of Bamiyan statue blown to nothing by the Taliban in 2001.
#6 The scenic and archaic little town of Hildesheim, Germany, which became collateral damage in the war in 1945.
#7 Ludgate Hill, London, in existence around the 1800’s was destroyed in the Second World War now restructured and redesigned.
#8 The ancient 2000-year-old N6 pyramid which used to be located in Sudan was destroyed by an Italian treasure hunter in the 1800’s.
#9 What the Cincinnati public library used to look like until 1955.
#10 The original New York’s Times square in 1919 before modernization happened.
