The lights in Berlin was so interesting, you could see where the wall had been. Also the ski resort that showed the amount of snowfall was fantastic. Thankyou, I loved reading this article.

About the Arctic, - The North pole has substantially changed position in the last 100 years and has drawn the snow etc with it resulting in places losing the ice, but others receiving it, although not to the same scale. While there is an overall reduction, it is not quite as stark as the pic alludes. There are maps on internet which demonstrate that fact. Also people who live there have commented that they used to travel along certain ridges from one area to another, but now longer can do so as those ridges have changed direction with the poles movement.

The US versus the size of the moon really tells the story.
