The answer to number 9 should be larger. There only two items being compared. Largest is appropriate when there are more than two items.

The two principal types of kayaks are: the easily maneuverable white-water kayak and the {largest} sea kayak. As they are comparing only two kayaks it should be larger!

I disagree with the answers to #3 and #9. When said aloud, #3 doesn't sound right the way they say it is supposed to be. I think #9, the word should be larger as you're talking about two kayaks.
